ESCC Cycle Partnership. First Meeting

Tuesday 3rd July 2012

Cycle East Sussex (CES), of which Cycle Seahaven are proud to be a part of, is a group of local cycling organisations who work together to help improve our local cycling infrasturcture.  On July 3rd 2012 CES met with East Sussex County Council (ESCC) to discuss cycling issues. The agenda can be downloaded from here.

This very useful first meeting has paved the way for a continued and productive collaboration between ESCC and local cycle groups. The encouraging follow-up letter from ESCC can be downloaded from here.

There are two ways in which you can help us make cycling safer by providing feedback to us, so we can pass it onto ESCC:

  • Identify locations for Advanced Stop Lines (more info on ASL’s can be found here)
  • Identify appropriate locations for new or additional cycle storage.

Please send your ideas and feedback to

There is, of course, huge scope for further collaboration. Providing useful feedback to ESCC on these two issues will assist CES and Cycle Seahaven in establish procuctive working relationship with ESCC.
