We desperately need your help on 29th July! Some of you may have read about the Big Park Cycle Hub in the summer edition of the club’s newsletter. Cycle Seahaven benefited from the funding provided by this project which included, amongst other things, access to E- bikes, Dr Bike tool kits and loan bikes.
On Sunday, 29th July there will be a big launch at Peacehaven Big Park promoting the Hub. The aim is to raise awareness of the cycle related activity there.
Cycle Seahaven need to be at that event to show support for the project and we need your help. The event runs from 7:30 AM to 4 PM and we need volunteers to fly the flag for Cycle Seahaven at our marquee/stand. The role simply requires you to wear a club cycle shirt (if you have one), hand out leaflets and talk to people about what we do.
The British Heart Foundation Ride is running alongside this event and they estimate that some 4000 people may attend throughout the day. This is obviously a fantastic opportunity for the club to promote itself so if you can help (even if it’s only for a couple of hours) we’d be really grateful. If we can find enough budding Bike mechanics we may run a DR Bike session too.
If you think you can help please contact events here or leave your name on our FaceBook page to let us know what you can offer. It’s going to be a fun day (and the café at Big Park does fantastic cake).
Please lend a hand. Thank you.
