After a wet and windy beginning to November, the weather gods blessed us with a calm clear night for the End of Season BBQ. The revellers arrived dressed in layers to keep warm and thoroughly enjoyed the Hot Chocolate & Mulled Wine (whilst they lasted)!
Harveys ‘Bonfire Boy’ and ‘Best’ Bitters were on tap, along with wines and spirits to keep the festivities flowing (thanks Tracey Martin for running the bar) along with sausages and burgers from the BBQ (Thanks Paul Williams for the cooking skills). Denis Bass brought his infamous Chilli which went down, as always, a treat.
It was lovely to see families, and so many road riders, too! The firework display was wonderful, (see a clip of it here) and children young and not so young, had great fun with the sparklers! Well done Harvey Lock for being chief marshmallow ‘chef’ and of course thanks to Wendy & Alan Wells for the loan of their fire pit. It was a godsend!
