Cycle Seahaven accept Youth Riders (under 18’s) on some of our rides.
How to become a Youth Member
By completing a Household application form, you agree to the Parental Consent statement, unless the following is struck through and signed on the Household Application Form:
By signing this form, I confirm that I have read and hereby give consent for any of my children or wards to participate in Cycle Seahaven rides and events. Full details of which can be found on the website under Joining & Renewals > Youth membership. (From Feb 2020)
Which Rides can Youth Members join?
As well as the Club Rules there are additional rules in place to safeguard the club and to safeguard Youth Members. Some rides may be more suitable for the younger riders. These rides will be clearly identified on the calendar (such as the Family Forest Rides). Rides that are suitable for our younger members will be advertised as such on the online calendar. Not all rides are suitable for Youth Riders, and the Ride Leader can refuse any Club Member on a ride.
Do I need to bring a Parent or a Guardian?
Yes, for every ride that a Youth Rider joins, they must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other adult acting as loco parentis, who will at all times take responsibility for the actions of the Youth Rider. It is good practice to inform the Ride Leader if a Youth Rider will be on their ride, especially if it not described as such.
Cycle Seahaven has its own Child Protection Policy
