There have already been just over 100 rides for the tourers this year, mostly grade 2 (Relaxed) and grade 3 (Touring) rides. There would have been more but some planned rides were cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
We endeavour to have at least three rides each week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday; sometimes we manage to have two rides on a particular day going at different paces but meeting up at the same café/tearoom. Refreshment stops are an essential part of our rides.
During the October will be visiting some of our favourite refreshment stops including the Lavender Line Tearoom (pictured above), the Castle Cottage Tearoom at Pevensey Castle, La Pâtisserie at Shoreham and, of course, the Village Stores at Ripe which we visit every Tuesday by popular demand.
Autumn is a great time to go cycling in the countryside. The leaves are changing colour and the temperature is cooler which makes for pleasant cycling. I hope you will be able to join us.
