As always, the ride leaders are doing a great job organising and creating some excellent rides for most, if not all, types of rides that you all are asking for. If there is something that you want which is different to what you see advertised, please contact any ride leader or Mike Godwin as RL Coordinator. Any of these would be only too willing to help with your request.
Recently, on the RL What’s App group a query was raised about the naming of RL’s when an incident report is created. The committee have agreed that in future the name will be anonymised and therefore not named in the committee meeting minutes.
Also, the What’s App RL group have been busy giving views, comments and thoughts on the insurance element of leading a ride and the responsibilities of the club. In a nutshell, nothing has changed. Every rider should, at all times, ensure they have a safe bike to ride. We have many members who actively support and provide help and assistance to members who may be unsure about some technical aspects of their bike. Just ask for help.
For ride leaders it is a sensible idea to occasionally familiarise themselves with the “Ride Leader Guidance”. It is divided into bite-sized chunks of very useful information and worth a read. It’s located on our website and easy to find. It is designed to protect you and your skills at leading rides. No one is out to catch you out.We are a cohesive team, especially when we work together.
