Hello fellow club members. I am pleased to have the opportunity to briefly update you on some of the club’s activities.
Let us start with the committee structure. Sadly Gill, our membership secretary, has decided for personal reasons to hand back her administrative responsibilities to the committee. This leaves us with a vacancy for a membership secretary and someone to assist with the club administration, a role which supports the work of our secretary, Roger Case. If you are willing to volunteer some of your valuable time to support the club, please contact me via the Contact Us page for a more detailed discussion.
Following a discussion at a recent Ride Leaders meeting two proposals were bought to the attention of the committee. I am pleased to tell you that both were approved and acted upon. First, Bob Philips has volunteered some of his time to the placement of a club poster in various places around the Seahaven area. Well done Bob. Thanks for your help. Secondly, it was suggested that we have two sail flags for use at cycling events. Sarah Winser was asked to assist. I was able to help her and we now have the two sail flags for use at club activities. I will hold the stock, if you want to use them, please contact me via the Contact Us Page. The last article in this newsletter has a picture of a sail flag.
Finally, I am pleased to confirm that Dave Geering is well under way with the management of our club merchandise, in particular jerseys and now a trial gillet. Watch this space for more information.
