As we enter 2026, we can celebrate our 9th anniversary operating a bike repair facility for the local community, managed by our club members. What started as a single gazebo on the tarmac outside the Seaford Police Station to a polished and professional service, but with the same objectives of providing a service to the local community.
Since the beginning when our friend Dave Sutton took up the baton until the present day with Jamie Simmons at the helm, we have achieved a tremendous amount. In particular, for a number of years we have successfully taken donations from the bikes repaired and/or even sold for our chosen charity.
This facility is by no means a one man band and so it is thanks to the whole Dr Bike team for their commitment throughout the season. Jamie has successfully built up the reputation of Dr Bike for the past four years. Sadly, he has requested that he stands down from this role. Therefore, over the next three months we are searching for a replacement.
