Mr Cycles recently moved from the corner of Clinton Place and Claremont Rd into premises that used to be Crosbys Menswear shop in Broad St. This is not the first time that there has been a cycle shop in these premises; there was one there over 100 years ago.
Mr W Allen is in the centre of the photo holding a bicycle which you could buy for £4-10-0, judging from the price shown in the window. It was his granddaughter who gave the photo to Rod Lambert, the owner of Mr Cycles. The bicycle in the kerbside is petrol powered; see the small wheel attached to the rear of the bike.
We are lucky to still have a cycle shop in Seaford so it’s worth popping in or visiting their website: mrcycles.co.uk.
